My PRACTICE
I am a poet, storyteller and artist these three disciplines target different areas of my life and draw on similar but distinct concerns and abilities. I use storytelling as away of interpretting and reforging our relationship with Nature. My poetry gives expression to everything that moves me to search for meaning and understanding it is essentially my true voice. As an artist I can be free and uncluttered because my connection to it is childlike and unpressured. I make things that satisfy me and avoid getting tangled up with the wider picture. I am inspired by real time work, site specific work of any kind including theatre and music and performance. I am in awe of good acting and want to keep my innocence of how they do it to maximise the joy.
PERSONAL
Poet and lover of trees, fine wine and talented men. I married one of them 10 years ago, a mandolin playing, book restoring, luthier, sailor from Kent called David. I have two exquisite children that keep the world going around ( too fast usually). I tell stories, complain a lot, stay up too late and never dust.
